UBS is a well recognized company and a leader in the field of “Fail-safe” braking systems. With more than twenty years of experience in the manufacturing and installation of our proven fail-safe braking systems, UBS has become a force to be reckoned with.

UBS prides itself on the fact that one of our designed and patented braking systems has become a standard on some of the biggest mining groups in the Mpumalanga region. This braking system (Spring applied & Air released), is used throughout the industry from as far as the North West region all the way to Zambia.

Our company is based in Kriel (Ga-Nala) in the Mpumalanga region, about 50Km from Witbank (Emalahleni) and 120Km from Gauteng. UBS provides our services from a six thousand square meter facility, providing ample work space on the many vehicles and machines that pass through.

About us

UBS manufactures most of the components used on our braking systems in house. Sufficient stock of almost every component used in our braking systems are kept in our stores. UBS understands that machine availability is an important factor for our clients and we commit ourselves to reduced machine standing time at our premises.

UBS also offers our services twenty four hours around the clock, with experienced  brake technicians on standby. 

Along with our braking systems, UBS also provides training for representatives of our clients to further minimize machine down time on site.

UBS specializes in a wide range of mechanical repairs to underground and surface Flameproof and Non-Flameproof equipment. At our workshop we, service, maintain, rebuild and refurbish Flameproof tractors, Flameproof Compressors, trailers, feeder frames, telecon frames , stone dust trailers, Lighting Plants and Mobile security guardhouses to suit our clients needs.

UBS can also arrange for Flameproof and ROPS certification whilst machines or equipment is at our premises. UBS works in cooperation with the leading companies conducting Flameproof and R.O.P.S certification. By knowing and understanding the requirements of these certification, UBS assists our clients in preparing their machines and vehicles for these tests.
